Having trained 10 years in the RAD and Vaganova ballet methods under the likes of Georgian Prima Ballerina Inga George and Royal Ballet soloist Vanessa Fenton, Athena discovered yoga and Pilates as conditioning exercises while living in London.
She later went on a deeper journey, through training in Traditional Russian Mat Pilates, STOTT Reformer Pilates, Ayurvedic knowledge, traditional yoga and classical ballet, Athena is able to integrate the movements and knowledge basis of each to create an elegant choreography for each class.
Respect for one’s body, confidence, grace, elegance and mindfulness are the central pillars to Athena’s movement classes, as her designed flow of each class weave through the breath and the landscape of each student’s mind and body, leaving you standing taller and at ease in your own presence.
